We're trekking west again, in hopes of catching Mother Nature at her most spectacular. We'll leave Olympia and follow serpantine route to Westport, stopping along the way for lunch.

Cool! I'll check to see if we've got anything going on that weekend.

It looks like a great drive out to the coast!

Darn! Hopefully you can make it next month. I'm planning the Sports Car Formal for the 14th of December Any later and we'll be encroaching on many people's holiday travel plans.

That's unfortunate. You can definitely come along in whatever you've got. Shuan was driving a Cobalt for his first run, as his 8 was still on the transporter.

Mike, it's a completely new route. I ran it Tuesday and it was a blast. I had to make some adjustments to eliminate long stretches of gravel, and the one bit remaining was smooth as asphalt anyhow. With just a 15knot onshore flow the sight at Westport Light Park was incredible. Given the mood Mother Nature seems to be in this weekend, it should spectacular tomorrow.

Hey Kris,

thanks for another great drive. I'd have to say this was one of the best routes you've had. Plenty of good twists, great scenery, and almost no traffic.

It was cool to finally get to see the coast and the private tour of the lighthouse was great!

Thanks again and looking forward to the next one.

Linda I wore the T-shirt you gave me!

Wow, sounds like I missed a LOT this time - great roads, no traffic, Shaun and his cowbell, a private tour of a lighthouse? Aargh....!

How many cars? Who all went? Pics, we need pics!!!

Ask and you shall receive. The lighthouse tour guide was kind enough to take a photo of the three of us. In fact, he all but insisted on it.

That is so great! I can't believe it was only you guys though... I thought for sure Mike with the S2K was going too. And, hey, I thought Nemesis8 was going too, since it was in his backyard... I'm so bummed I couldn't go... What'd you do for lunch this time?

Yeah, I got PM's from both of them. Mike had other stuff to see to, and Kevin sent me a PM asking for a call when we approached Aberdeen. Unfortunately, I rarely check the forums before hitting the road for these, so I didn't see it 'till a few minutes ago.

We stopped at the Crow's Nest Drive-In in Montesano. It was just the two cars, both Red 8's. Well, one Red, and the other Red under all the dirt from Tuesday's pre-run. :p

Tonight I'll see if I can post up the quick video clip Jen took while we were hammering through the section after lunch. It's a bit bouncy but you get the idea.

Kris is there a way for me to post it on your site or should I just put it on youtube?
