Next Portland area RX 8 event ideas?

Is there a pizza get together any time soon? If not let's plan one.
How about a cruise-in at one of Beavertons Starbucks.
Has anyone been on the track at PIR?
How about a cruise up to Crown Point and take some pictures?
Skyline Tavern or Skyline drive in??? Throw out some ideas.

I don't care what the excuse is, but lets do it some day. I went on the rx-7 drive to St. Helens. While it was extremely entertaining, I am looking forward to a strictly rx-8 event, or one where there are way more 8's then 7's. On the St. Helens drive, there were approx. 4 8's and about 20 7's. The people were great and all, but I did not feel like I had much to discuss with all of them. They were however, very friendly, and made me feel welcome. (Am I rambling?).......Yes, I am.

Anyways, lets get something going.

Heres an idea..... I would be willing to have a barbecque at my house after a rally somewhere. Tis the season. I know most of us our busy, (including me) but with a little effort and planning, maybe we could do this. (am I rambling again?)

See ya, and I am serious about having 10 or so 8's parked aroung my house. I can fit 6 cars in my driveway.

I have next sunday off. (16) I should be available, but I am writing this without gathering all the facts about possible plans on that day, but can say pretty much 99.9% that I am available.
Anyways, lets see what type of interest this thread gets. (probobaly not much if you look at the total posts here)

Regardless even meeting a couple of you and having some fun sound fine to me. Any ideas on a possible route. Sometimes it's fun just to drive and see where you end up. Talk to you all soon.

Not much response to this thread so far. I am available this Sunday the 16th for sure now. Is anyone interested besides kprx and ccj? Adam Ant? I cant believe you have not responed to this yet. Anyway, I'm up for anything. Time is getting short however, and some what of a plan should be made. I'll check back here often for some ideas. Maybe I should start a new thread with a subject line that might get more attention?

Hello,

Well, today is Thursday, so I guess it's time to get serious. It appears as if there will be 3 of us and that's fine. (ZOOM GET ACCIDENTALY LOST PLEASE..hehhe ) Let's meet at Multonomah Falls and go from there. I have traveled out of the country with no plans or iteneray and it worked out great. I would assume we will find some road. I think 10am would be a good time to meet. And if we get done early enough, the BBQ thing stands, but to be honest, I would much rather do that with 8 or so 8's persons.

Does this sound OK?

And for the love of God, will anyone else join us?

I can't wait for another 6 months to go by and maybe this NW forum will come alive!!

How about Crown Point at 12noon. There could be an awesome photo up there with the Gorge in the background. I will invite another 8 owner who isn't online much.

I think CCJ's plan is great. I don't care what time, but lets decide on a meeting place and time in town like you said. Maybe some where down town? Maybe some where in Tigard or Lake Oswego that is close to I-5. Never the less, we need a meeting place and time. I am not sure what part's of Portland you are all from, but I think it should be somewhere where I-5 is close at hand. I live in Newberg, so anywhere north is a fine meeting place for me. And even if the meeting place was way out of my way, at least I get to drive a little longer with the rotary powering my smile! :-)

Maybe we should exchange cell #'s or something too?

The weather is not supposed to be the best, but as far as the drive goes, I don't care. As far as a BBQ however, I don't like cooking in the rain!

Lets play that by ear. Looking forward to Sunday.
