New wheels: G-games 99b

Posted these pics in the wheel section but wanted to put them here as well. I had them mounted two days ago. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that America's Tire company in Tigard, provided solid and fast service. They had no problems with TPMS either.

I specifically choose these wheels because they weigh 20lbs (lighter than stock) and accept TPMS. The local dealership seems a bit sticky when it comes warranty issues so I did not want to give then any reason to deny service. Supposedly next year more wheel manufactures will make wheels for TPMS because in 2007 they have to come on all vehicles.

G-Games 99b
19 8.5" +40 offset, 255/35/19 with KDW NT on all four corners.

Clear corners ordered last week so they should be on soon. Next up is to lower it. Looking at Tein or MS.

The wheels look good, but now you definitely need to get your hubs painted. University mazda was able to get the factory to pay for painting mine. You should check with your local shop and see if they can do the same. The rust on the hub definitely takes away from the nice wheels.

I checked with my local dealership and they told me no. They said they will only do the paint if the car was bought new within 1yr. I will probably check with a couple of other to see what they say.

FWIW, the clears were put on yesterday and it really cleans up the look of the car.

Congrats, those look really really nice! Those are the wheels that I want also (in the silver color), just waiting for my current rubber to expire. You should show up for the next local drive/meet, I'd really like to see those in person.

I don't think there's anything planned. Keep an eye on this forum, I'm sure something will come up sooner or later, it is summer after all.

nice. one of my favorite wheels for the 8.
your car already looks lowered, is it just the driveway slant?

cjkim,

Thanks. The car is not lowered so it is probably the slant of the driveway and the wheel being turned in so the gap is less noticeable.

Questions,

Have you had ANY rubbing at all with your Wheel/Tire Selection? Even at full lock?

Hows the handling?

Hows the road noise?

Looks really good and I am planning on wheels and tires as soon as I need tires. So I am looking and thinking.

Have a good one.

If possible could you take some pics from the front and back, i have ordered those same wheels except i have a 9.5 in the rear. That is what the sugested and alot a people on here are running the stagered setup..... my 8 is already lowered and looking aty your fitment i might want to change to 8.5 fronts with a 235 tire and 8.5 rears with a 255 or 265 tire....

No rubbing with wheel lock in either direction. The only rubbing I experienced was hitting a dip in the road going about 75+. No rubbing over the same dip at 55. Hopefully when I add coilover this get resolved.

I only have 200-300 miles on them with the majority of that going to and from work on 217/26. Hopefully I can write up a review in a few weeks when I get them broken in and more free time.

Not good. Better than stock but still not good. I was taken in by the tread pattern Actually the main reason was they are suppose to be excellent in wet weather which we obvisously need in the NW.

I took some more pics and will post them tonight.

I went with 19x8.5" so I could run 255/35 on all fours corners.

FWIW, I exchanged a few emails with Wheel AutoHaus and depending on the wheel, he said I could run 19x10 in the back with no rubbing. I informed him that I plan to lower the car and he said no problem. I think it will depend on the offset you run with.
