New engine!

Well Mazda decided to drop a new engine in my 8 yesterday. Im out in Yakima for another week, but it should be done next week sometime. I have the BHR coils coming in this next week as well! Should be fun once I get it back...then have to goto Cali for a month. I hate the Army now!

We should meet up somewhere with DONDO. He needs to put his coils in also. I put mine in about 2 weeks ago.

what was wrong with your engine to prompt them to give you a new one?

nice. I was thinking we could have just modified the rear mounting hole on the bracket to make it go in easier. But now it is good to go.

ok im using my phone for this since i still have a week out in yakistan. i was driving back from lacey after seeing watchmen on imax...which kicked ***. the oil pressure dropped to zero, the cel flashed, the coolant light flashed and then about 15 sec later it blew out a **** load of black smoke. i pulled over and turned it off for ten min. it shook as it started and sputtered the way back to ft lewis. i got it to milam mazda the next morning because we headed here the next am early...3am. i got a call a few days later and all the tests were weak. compression was borderline. service manager made calls to get new motor and it was approved thursday. thats what i know so far. i have to go get ready for the next mission we are assulting a town via air assult...aka blackhawk helocopters.

Thats one of those things that made me want to join the military. But I cant stand the vibe. If I need to go defend my country ill be first in line no doubt. I really like my job building airplanes though, maybe someday ill move to work on fighter jets?

Good luck playing!

**** MILAM MAZDA!!!!!!! They have had my car for over 2 weeks and still don't have the engine replaced. I got a call today saying that they never recieved the engine from Mazda. Now they had to "re-order" a new one that will get here next tuesday. Now im out of a car and don't want a bullshit rental. They also told me I need front brakes and a new clutch.....I told them I would pay for a clutch and they can handle the brakes since they fucked me over. Im so livid I really wish we weren't shooting paper targets out in Yakima, but that ******* service manager! BTW I just drove back from that hell hole for 12 hours blitzed on redbull and beef jerky. I smell like *** as well!

Of course they are going to say you need brakes and a clutch so they can actually make SOME money off the work.

Id tell them ill need a clutch and brakes if your covering the bill. Other wise go fist yourself.

If they wont do that and you pick up a clutch and brakes pads and want a helping hand ill make a drive to help a buddy out.

Seriously **** that place. I used to go there all the time. Never again. Those ******* always try to rip you off and make you feel like an idiot at the same time. Turns out you're always right and they're the big ******* idiots but you end up shelling out the dough.

New brakes, new clutch?? **** that. For what reason?! I think you would know if your clutch or brakes were on their way out.

They make a lot of money off Double Dipping off retarded people. Like I said if you decide your going to replace your clutch/brakes (for the sake of maybe high milage and upgraded clutch/flywheel) and need help ill come. Wouldnt take us very long, faster if you can use the on base shop with the lift

I know i do all of my work on post here. I know in Michigan where Im from there are laws that if you have work done on a vehicle the shop has to keep the parts until you pay so that you can inspect them. I want to know if WA has one as well. I told them to do the clutch a few days prior....i was tired and actually believed them. I want to see the parts myself. Being in Yakistan was a horrible 2 weeks. Im ready to go fire bomb that mother ****** down!
