I wish! But no I needed a car with more space since I have the baby now so I ended up getting a 2009 Toyota Rav4 Sport.

Most of us happen to know some folks (now in OK) who manage to drive an 8 even with a child. Make your wife drive the Toyota and keep your 8.

Heck, I carpool with two adults in the back! I think I need to soften up the rear Koni's a bit so I don't hear so much complaining though.

yea but I can fit my mountain bike in my new car now, and I also have a ski rack now! I can go to costco and have space to fit the baby's stroller and buy tons of stuff there now without having to put it on my lap. You guys forget that I have no trunk space because of the custom sound system box I have, but yea I could of took it out and sold it but I enjoyed it too much! Oh well, I have plans to buy another sports car in a few years. That will be my mid life crisis car.

Well, hopefully Ryan can sell his 8. And as much as I want to influence him to keep his 8, I totally understand why he's selling it for another vehicle that is more suitable for a family. Don't get me wrong here, the 8 has enough room for two more at the back. Heck, I use mine bringing my wife and two kids around as well. But we also have a Honda Odyssey which we use for long trips and is definitely more suitable as a family transportation than the 8. The RX-8 is a nice car but regardless of how many reasons you'd give in stating that the 8 is still good as a family car, the RX-8 is still not practical to use as a family car. Especially if that is the only vehicle a family has.

Just my two cents. That is all.

I actually have the same setup, one RX-8, and one Honda Odyssey (plus a work truck for hauling dirt and gravel). It's a great combination! It's a little embarrasing that my minivan has more power than my sports car though.

I know what you mean, my new Rav4 sport V6 has more power and torque than my Rx8 and it only takes regular gas. Geesh and to top it all off it even has better gas mileage! But I will miss the handling of the 8 and shifting at high RPM's =(

I actually have a few hits! I have a buyer coming to look at it this Friday. The only thing thats holding the kid back is that he has never owned a stick shift before, but we all start somewhere. Im thinking I shoulda asked more than $10,700 Im actually suprised that I got 4 local hits here in WA within a week.

I've been trying to talk my brother into buying it, but he just built a huge garage and doesn't want to spend the money. It's a great deal though. Good luck with the sale.

Nice choice! We just picked up a 2009 Highlander Hybrid Ltd. for similar reasons -- 2nd baby arrived a few days ago. However we are able to fit the Graco stroller w/ cupholders in the RX-8's stock configured trunk. Maybe now I can attend (better MPG & family space) some of KrisD's driving events!

Laters!

Cool! But defintley this is the best time buy a new car espically from Toyota since they recorded their first losses in a long time the last 2 months. But if your trying to sell or trade-in this is the worst time to do it. I was getting low balled for awhile when I was selling, I even had people tell me that I was selling too high!

I have two kids, the 8 even has baby seat hooks in the back. My girlfriend has a RAV 4. If we need more room we drive hers. if we want to have a nice drive, we drive mine.

it sucks, I did so much for that car and put in all that work! Remember when I drove all the way from WA to Socal just to get Mike's Vertex rear and HKS exhaust. That was the craziest thing I ever did in such a limited time I was there. Anyways I have his Vertex front end in San Diego would you know anyone in Socal that would be intersted? I never had a chance to put it on and it has fresh paint and 3m protection on it =(
