I'm still working on the route map, but I'll probably finish that up this weekend.

Yeah, we need to bring lunch stuff, but we'll be stopping at Belfair State Park for that. I'll post the route map this evening, when I get to my folks place. My laptop just can't handle the image editing and my work computer doesn't have the map software. My graphics machine is at my parents house for use in the family business.

Arrow Route Map

This Map set isn't quite up to the standards of the Whidbey one, but here it is. I may try to improve on it a bit, but it doesn't follow a long skinny island like the last one.

Wanna coordinate a potluck kind of thing like the Whidbey trip, or just bring stuff for ourselves?

FABRO, You live close to me, how about if I follow you there to meet with Anibal? Oh yeah, Marquis lives really close to me, maybe we could all head over...

I can bring plates, utensils, etc. like last time.

I was thinking about taking the ferry over but I could be convinced to drive around.

I'll definately be ferrying over. Any one else from Renton northward making this run?

I haven't decided what (other than my grill) I ought to bring this time 'round. I'll post up again this evening.

OK, going on the ferry sounds fun, so count me in. Can we meet up somewhere on the eastside and go together? I'm in Renton by Marquis...

kristopher, we probably only need one grill if we are only cooking hot dogs, so I hope you do bring yours. I just gave mine to my daughter.

I don't mind meeting Linda with you and Marquis. Im still gonna drive though to Tacoma and meet up with Anibal in Tacoma. On the way back i'll probably ride the ferry home. Just let me know what you think, if you guys do want to meet up in Renton how does the Fred Myers in Benson sound?

kristopher, You're taking the Seattle to Bremerton ferry or the Fauntleroy to Southworth? And then does the route go from Bremerton to Tahuya still? If so, how are you going back - the same way, and taking the ferry back as well?

I'm just trying to figure out the best route for us coming from Renton, as it seems to be sort of in the middle, between going to the ferries or driving around via Tacoma.

Cost of taking the Seattle/Bremerton ferry both ways (takes 60 minutes one way, plus drive time from Renton):

Westbound - pay for car and driver only: Peak is $14.10
Eastbound - pay for car and driver: $14.10, AND $6.50 if bringing a passenger

Cost of taking the Fauntleroy/Southworth ferry both ways (takes 40 minutes one way, plus drive time from Renton):

Westbound - car/driver only: $10.50
Eastbound - car/driver: $10.50, AND $5.00 for passenger

Driving from Renton to Bremerton is about 60 miles and takes about 1.5 hours. Based on my average MPG, I think it would cost me about $15 to drive around (I'm not a numbers person, so I could be wrong though). I'm thinking it would be better/easier to drive around with Fabro and Anibal, and depending on your route, go back on the Southworth Ferry.

Yeah, I'm making the Southworth-Fauntleroy run. It's 9 bucks cheaper and means about 17 more miles than Seattle-Bremerton. From Redmond, there's just no way driving around is a good option (at least, until I order and install the new suspension). I'll definately bring my grill, and probably a pasta salad (or something of that nature). I like to cook, so don't worry about it being some lame supermarket job.

Well, now that I've done the math, I'm not sure which way I want to go.

Cost of Driving around: $20 round trip + my @$$ in the seat for 2 extra hours. Sorry, freeway driving isn't all that fun, and it get's kinda sore.

Seattle-Bremerton: $35 roundtrip including gas
Seattle-Bainbridge: $40 roundtrip including gas
Fauntleroy-Southworth: $32 roundtrip including gas

I'll make up my mind tonight and let post up. If there are others coming from further north and want to meet up over here, I'll definately make a ferry crossing.
