Talking i have an SUV now! :D

i traded in my cobra for a 98 white expedition XLT with tow package! it came with the 4.6L motor and 80k miles on it. i dealed with the guy and got it to an equal trade! 11k for my cobra and 11k for the truck. they put my negative equity on top of it and we paid cash to cover it. the great thing is that my insurance plummeted a ton and so did my monthly payments :D
i actually like this thing more than my cobra! i still have the RX8 and will drive it from time to time (more like my wife will). it is actually nice to have a truck to haul things around in and more ground clearance. the funny part is that it does not fit in my garage (it would barely fit if i drove it in the center). its no big deal! when i buy a house, it will have a garage big enough to fit it in.

Thank god!
I thought you traded your 8 for a SUV for a brief second there.

Well you went from being one of those silly mustang guys to being one of those silly SUV guys...but at least you have a vehicle now that is actually able to do something useful.

Didn't you JUST put an exhaust on the mustang? Like a couple weeks ago?

i put the exhaust on 2 months ago. they gave me 11k to compensate for my extra stuff and to make it an even trade :P

the vehicle was only worth 9k!

hey! I'm in puyallup too...Fredrickson area. After I can #1 sell my miata, then #2 buy an RX8, then my wife wants an Expy.

Is the RX8 community very active down this way? I haven't seen much in this forum lately. Could be the weather?

i saw another titanium gray one with red accents inside, looked pretty sweet! was up here at safeway.

Good deal then - if you see a guy in a black miata (which I need to sell!!) waving...don't be skeerd! :D

I live tween Canyon and Meridian - just south of 176th (near 78th St).

Good luck buddy! I used to have a miata and I miss it dearly. But it's no match for an 8, twisties or not . How much you want for yours? Like my wife would let me buy it anyways . I'm off of Gem Heights in the Quadrant development, I'm going up 176th between canyon and meridian all the time.

I'll be watching for you, and if you see my grey 8, don't worry, I'm not as insane behind the wheel as some might lead you to believe....mmmwwaaahhhhh!!!!

I've seen LE's going from $5000-7500...I'm asking 5800 OBO...But yeah - Gem Heights is about 10 minutes from here. Hopefully I'll get the bugger sold and you'll see a Silver/Titanium/Blue (either - whichever I can find a good deal on) Floating around. When I get something together, perhaps we can do a group drive to Windy Ridge?

Never heard of or been to windy ridge. You don't need to have an 8, put something together now! I'm always up for a drive (as long as I can get a kitchen pass )

windy ridge is at Mt. St. Helens. VERY twisty...I'm not to keen on a group drive though - I have to get my car sold...and just 'what if' something happens, ya know? It'll have to wait

It's better in warmer weather anyway! :D

Did you see he Mt. St. Helens drive thread from September? The day that it started to show all the activity was the day we took seven 8s and a Celica All-track up to Johnston ridge. I think we woke it up!

Why not big on the group drives? It's the most fun I've had in a car.

I'm BIG on group drives - just not with my miata...as I have to sell it so I can afford an rx8...thus, not wanting to go out 'risking' things, ya know?

So THAT was his secret!!! I was wondering what else he was doing to hop past me like greased lightning! (Besides stomping on the pedal and keeping the revs high!) When I grow up I want to be able to drive my 8 like Emsdad!

dmp, we had a great time running up the mountain that day. I really want to do something this spring, hopefully a little longer even.

Umm, more than 130, but shhhhh!!!! I don't want to get anyone mad at me! I'll never do that again on public roads though, it seemed like fun at the time, but in reflection, it wasn't that bright.

I can control my car, but not the cars of others on the road.
