Hope Everyone's Making it Home Okay

The blizzards cost me several days at work...mainly because I couldn't get out of the blasted parking lot!
I'm good to go now. let's hope we don't see a blizzard 4.0!

I'll talk to Mom tomorrow and find out what it's like in Bellevue.
Down here it is actually cold, low's in the mid 20's but no precipitation in site for the low temps. As i'm writing this it is 36 degree's.
I kinda miss the great Northwest.

Yes, cold and icy. I'm just south of Bellevue and it's about 19F in my backyard. It was fun at first, but now it's just ... I'm hoping it starts to melt tomorrow.

Once we got to New York I did take advantage of one blizzard to build a really nice snowman for the kids.

We used nice big apples for eyes, nose and buttons. That scarf only just barely wraps around the front. We rolled dozens of round ***** down that hill, then mashed them together to make his body parts. He's well over 6'. I'm 5'11' and his "shoulders" are well above my head. I scaled him so I could *just* get his head up there by holding it straight over my head and jumping up a bit. The kids were young, they didn't have the vision for a project like that so they were amazed when it was all done even though they'd helped.
Oh, and a snowman that big doesn't get up and walk away or just melt with the first sunny day. The packed snow is more resiliant than the loose drifts on the lawn. A few cycles of thaw and freeze at night shrank him and transformed him into solid ice. There was a remainder still in the lawn the first time I mowed that spring.

Awesome! Sounds like a lot of work, I'm impressed. Between the monster snowman and all your pics
, you definitely "think big"
LOL, you should start a snowman contest thread...

Next time we get pounded we'll get creative. You know how it is; no power, no way to get out of the driveway, may as well build snowmen.

Far different from the NW. Most I ever did with the kids there was shuffle through a 1/4" dusting of snow in the parking lot with them. Hey, NWers, is it gone yet?

It could be worse. Your 8 could be up against a curb, facing up hill with a semi-trailer 10 feet behind you, just feet from your work's parking lot. I'm stuck at work and have a 4 o' clock in Bellevue that I really want to make.
