Thumbs up Ground Zero Dyno

hey all, i went to Ground Zero today around 9am and got my RX8 dynoed. Its a good price, i mean $35.00 for 3 pulls. My car did pretty well, theres no mods on it yet but i just wanted to get the baseline. Theres a lot of people, and for anyone who reads this..you should go before it ends at 7pm today. Theres hotdogs, burgers and drinks. So enjoy...

-Rich

Okay heres the results of my stock 05 Mazda RX8

Max Power: 165.0 @ 7400 RPM
Max Torque: 124.2 @ 6200 RPM

Thats about what my car made with one of the very first flashes on Ralphs dyno. But my car made it at 9,400rpms! :D

BTW, how did the dyno day go? I was working and could'nt make it.

If anyone in the Portland area needs dyno work, I highly suggest Groundzero. Ralph is one of the top Rotary tuners in the U.S.

Well i went to dyno day really early so there wasnt many people there but my friend Chris from GT Garage told me there was a grip of people but mostly rice rockets so there wasnt much to miss out. But it was just cool to hang out and have a chit chat, I didnt know that Ralph tunes rotaries but thats pretty cool. Im just hoping that we could have a car show in Portland some time soon instead of some shitty thing going on down at the expo center some time ago. At first I was like wtf...why is my car not producing what the dealer told me which I thought to myself was at the wheels not flywheel. haha..

kind of odd that your car made max power at 7400rpm.......thats about 1k rpm off. The hp number doesnt suprise me although its on the low side...what kind of dyno was this...are these numbers corrected? Did you de-activate all the DSC/TSC (7+ secs) What gear did you do the run in. Was a wide-band connected or not? what were your A/F's Do you have an auto or 6speed.

theres just to many variables to know how you got those numbers

Its a mustang dyno. It reads about 10% less than a dynojet. I dyno'd my car with the 7 seconds push. CJ

The shop is GT Garage, I help Chris do some minor things but what he basically does is tune RX7's, install bodykits, turbos, anything. He's a really cool guy, he helped me install an optima battery due to a few modifications, he just installed a spoiler for my car today but yeah just swing on by. Its right next to Pineapple Racing.
