I'll be trying to make the meeting again on September 4th >_>

Let's pick a date some time in September and see if we can pull this off!

I've been mulling over another idea in my head for the last week or so. At $30 a person, you can run 4 events for 50 people. $30 would be a "membership" fee and then the event fees would be really sensible, like <$10... What if we did a Rotard Seattle vs. Portland series next spring/summer?

Something like 4 events scored AutoX style using SCCA classes. Top 10% in each class count points toward their city. The events could go back and forth between the two cities, or they could all be at Packwood (the middle point, both SCCA regions use it) or some variation (One idea I had was 2 competitions in Packwood and a practice day in each city). Get the 7 club involved and we could definitely get the head count. Hell, if we get enough people going we might even be able to convince a couple sponsors to sign on for prizes...

Total pipe dream for now, but I bet we could actually do it for next year.

making our own club in that case? or still using an existing one?

i think setting up practice days for cheap is still the best bang for the buck and takes the least effort to organize

That would be setting up our own club and indeed, it would be more work. But I think it would be a lot of fun

Yup! And we'll still do one of those some time in September.
