Thank you guys for the wonderful times and fond memories. Your kindness and encouragement have helped me leave my solitary shell and provided the inspiration to make the-winding-road a reality. You opened your hearts and shared more than just the driving with all of us. Have a safe trip, and start finding roads, 'cause I AM coming to visit, and expect to do a little driving

Oh THAT'S who that was.... I never really knew. I just figured he was making the face because he didn't want his picture taken when I was taking that shot.

Meanwhile, that's a really bad picture of me.

I couldn't remember who that guy was anymore either. LOL

 

Picture problem solved. This is a good one too.

 

So I guest he is mad for not having one!!!

 

We did it. We finally arrived in Stillwater, OK (home of OSU) at 3:05 on Monday afternoon. The Pacificia handled the drive wonderfully and was even fun to drive on the curvy roads of the trip, but it was nothing like the 8 would have been. Now I just have to wait for her to arrive, hopefully this week.

Thank you everyone for your warm wishes and thoughts. Sunday drives are just not going to be the same without seeing all of you. We do promise to come back to visit and hit at least on of the drives.

I was looking at the posts for the October drive series and I am more then a little envious. You have a great thing going up there. You are already missed.

It's not goodbye, but rather, until you see my tail lights.

Thanks again for such wonderful memories and a renewed love of driving (really, really fast as Kaitlyn would say).

 

Hey brother - if you guys fly out here, I'll loan you my car - or let you co-drive - for one of the drives.

Sad in a way - you'll STILL probably be more of a participant on the groups drives than will I! hehe

Congrats Volney! Glad to hear you made it to your new homes safely! I'm sorry Jen and I couldn't make the last drive. Please keep us up to date on the next chapter of your lives and let us know when you're going to be back in town.
