That sucks! You could get someone to tear down and rebuild and get some Performance Apex Seals!

Yeah anyone who goes FI without budgeting for an engine is asking for this type of situation. Sorry to heart it, now get that bad boy rebuilt.

I hope you sent that post above by a cheap cell phone, otherwise you should take some grammar classes before posting.

Look into getting a motor from a junk yard. I did that before when my 2.7L in my Dodge Intrepid seized due to a design flaw.

Pay now or pay later. Was your car properly tuned?

That sucks, but if I was you I would take this as an excellent oppertunity to do your own engine rebuild :D Also, what turbo were you running in it?

A fully dressed LS1 is <100lbs heavier than a Renesis, FYI. Rotary engines are pretty massively heavy for their size due to all the iron, while LS engines have an aluminum block and push-rods which keeps them impressively light. If you don't have to move the steering rack (like RX-7's have to), then there should be little to no handling difference. You'll just get more HP and better gas mileage.

Also, +1 on grammar/spelling classes.

rebuilds including upgraded parts are labor are like 3.5k if you pull the motor. not a bad deal. call crh and talk to him about it.

i wouldn't give up yet since you just dropped the coin to boost..

Sorry to hear. Both my failed motors had low compression in the rear rotor so that is not a surprise.

Robb at Pineapple Racing is somewhat local. He is in the Portland, OR. It is my understanding he will rebuild the motor but not install it.

Charles will fly to your house, pull the motor, rebuild it and then install it.

Another some what local option is to have FD3S Engineering do the rebuild for you. They are in Beaverton, OR.

Portland is not far but somewhat a PITA to get it there and back. But Rob knows his way around a rotary. But so does Marc at FD3S.

If you have them do all the work (pick up the car, toll it to the shop, pull the engine, buy the parts, rebuild the engine, put the engine back and test the car)
5k is average price!!!
