End of Summer drive around Coeur d' Alene Lake

Well we had so much fun the first time around and now we have more drivers here in the Spokane area that would like to take a drive around the lake. It looks like there are two of us for sure already on board. So how does next sunday September 12th work at about 10:30 am? Last time a couple of us met at Moon Time in Coeur d' Alene afterwords for a bite to eat (It's a local non-smoking pup with good dishes like my favorite lamb sandwich and corn pasta :p ). Good fun and good food, how can you go wrong...

Would be glad if you did. Sorry I didn't mean to leave out our 7 buddies but none of them made it to the last drive. Please let them know about it we would be happy to have the 7's represented.

Moon time is good stuff... makes me want to fly up there to have a micro and a burger.

Stop by Anthony's mid town bistro, a good friend of mine owns it. Great food, he is a CIA trained chef. A little spendy compared to moon time, but well worth it .

Thanks for the new post Tim--you know I am in!! Hope the weather holds up for a cruise.
I p/m couple of other 8 locals and sounded positive so far.
Also I have met with Rich Miller and some of the 7 kids and they had a good start at getting a Spokane Rotary Club off the ground.
I will get back with you all after the holiday and get directions to the Moon Time Pub.

Well it would be out of character for me not to drive several hundred miles just to...Go for a drive. Hmmmmm. I'll be there. place for the meet up. The lot we met in last time should offer a good photo op.

Drove over earlier in the year, 2 weekends later drove down to portland for a drive, just drove down to Morro Bay, CA for reason other than the mountain and coastal highways on the way.

Basically, I work and I drive.

The parking lot we met in last time would be perfect. For those that didn't make it to the last drive it is the parking lot just East of the Coeur d' Alene Hotel right in front of Tubbs Hill and the docks. What we did last time that seemed to work out well was to meet up and go on the drive then head over to Moontime afterwards so everyone who wants to go can follow us. The road we take is off the Wolf Lodge District exit and it weaves around the lake through to Saint Maries and then we head up to HWY 95 heading back to CDA. It's a great drive with good twisties... :D and is usually not too populated. We can do this in two groups those that want to fly back to CDA and those that want the leasurely pace on the trip. That way we don't have to worry about loosing anyone.

Glad to see the interest and welcome back Kris D. Looking forward to the drive again.

It takes a couple of hours. And 10:30 am works for me. Does everyone know how to get to the meeting spot? If not let me know and I will be more specific.

I wish I had a little earlier notice of this. I probably would have tried to make it up there. Now there are too many plans locked in or this weekend. Have fun!

Let us know how it turns out please.

Sorry guys. Just ran my budget, and I spent WAY too much on vacation. I'm going to have to sit this one out. Damn! That's a good road, too. Hopefully next time though.

Hey Tim---
How about a rain delay/reschedule for today?
I wanted to sail around the lake---not hydroplane around it

Sorry guys, Looks like no one made it out yesterday due to the rainy weather. We should shoot for another trip the weekend after next (next weekend looks like rain too ). Let's watch the weather and see if we can't get that trip moving along. If we can't get the drive going maybe we could all just meet for lunch and talk about one of our favorite subjects... the RX-8. :D
