Corksport Mazdaspeed front bumper questions
I couldnt find much using the search. Anyone have any experience with corksport's FRP products, the mazdaspeed front bumper in particular? I'm getting back some fed money soon and figured i might throw a bit of it at the 8. I would go authentic but i dont have that much money to put into the car right now(I know most people say authentic or dont bother).
I'll be doing all the prep work before a shop does the final painting and i might even add some fiberglass inserts for the corner lights since Corksport's replica is lacking them. Prep is not too much of a concern to me at this point. What i am concerned about is the material durability itself since the 8 is on tein s.techs clearence may become an issue and if the FRP material will get that saggying look that many of the replica bumpers have i would like to avoid.
On a side note, it looks like corksport no longer carries the authentic mazdaspeed side skirts or front? anyone know if this is true?

The authentic front is only $1050 shipped from Mazdaspeed Motorsports Developement. You have to be a member and have results from two competitive events to qualify but if you go do two autocrosses, have a blast driving your car fast and submit the results you're in and can order Mazdaspeed parts at dealer costs.

Corksport's team is an active member on the MazdasNW.com forum I am on. I can check with them about the MazdaSpeed Bumper. Last I remember seeing they still have it. They are running a special posted on their blog about if you create a youtube video (there are details about what it needs to be in the blog) but that they can discount the product cost (presumably in a refund). I've heard good things about their products and am yet to hear any negative feed back from their quality of the bumper. (I am looking into getting that one as well)

Just noticed they have a 5% sale through April 15th. Their bumper is $649.00 so that is a bit of saving for those that are local. I know RX8CW lives in Salem so the 5% would cover gas and lunch not to mention the savings on shipping.
From their blog:
To celebrate our new showroom, we’ll be offering a 5% discount on all CorkSport products that are ordered and picked up at our location here in Vancouver, WA. As many of our products are configurable, we generally package to ship -so the only stipulation of this discount is that configurable products should be called-in in advance to allow us to build them out (30 minutes or so is all we need). Call us at 360-260-2675 to queue up your order. Offer ends April 15th!
We look forward to meeting with you and seeing your cars. Remember to tell us about your product ideas and the parts you’re looking for that aren’t on the market yet when you visit.

If you want you might be able to (depending on what it is) have them bring it to the meet coming up in Chehalis and have a friend you trust or someone on here pick it up for you from the meet.

Man... I've been thinking about a MS front bumper lately, especially with how many cone marks are on my stock one now... but I already have to crabwalk over the speed bumps at my apartment to clear the stock front bumper with no appearance package
