Audio link
I finally got an Audio link for my I-Pod. Install was easy. Quality of the sound is great!!! Better the a CD, But only if I use the 1/8 plug. If I use the I-pod plug it make a high pitch noise, when I turn the volume up past 12 and you head it to when it changing from one song to an other song at low volume. So I call them and they are sending me an other cable to see if that fix-it.
I'm getting ready to integrate my Radar Detector and Police Scanner into the Bose. Just need a better understanding of MOSFETs and do a little RadioShacking (hey, if it's acceptable to use google as verb, why not your local store).
where did you find the install guide?
I have been thinking of gettng an ipod kit.The down side is I
just dont know how long i will be keeping my car.
but I have seen a few installs, just curious which one you used
and if you took pictures during installation.
Thanks, Matt22

My mini with audio link works fine. Glad you got it fixed.
I broke a tab off my center console cover sliding the thing closed over the cable by accident, though. I think I might try to re-route it into the glovebox instead.

I toke my 4 GB nano back, on monday and got the new 8GB nano with video!!! It will be here in my house Monday or Tuesday!!!
the new 8GB nano look great and is not as big as the old one , in fact its is very small!!! I love the fact that its that small!!!and I am getting two times the size for the same price as the old 4GB nano!!! Got to love 30 day return policy!!!
Draw-back on the new nano, you do have to push play on the nano, went you want to use it. It will not start playing music with out you doing this. As for the rest, you can change song, it does charge it, and the sound is great!!!
I know this is an old thread but I can't seem to figure out how to start a new one. I have an 04 RX8 with the firmware version 9.53. According to these old posts, thexlink won't work on mine.
So now what??

I have been observing the weird noises over the dock connector with multiple iPods. I find it interesting that the OP has managed to overcome this with a new iPod.
OP: Did you actually go through and get the new cable?
