Hi everyone! Although I love the 8, I've got an unrelated issue here I was wondering if anyone could help me with.

My wife recently got a job in Klamath Falls, and we're wondering what kind of place it is. Google Earth only can show us so much, ya know?

We're curious about the local culture, what kind of people live in the area, what general type of jobs there are...that sort of thing. We've done a lot of web searching about the town, but I figured some first-hand knowlege is worth a lot.

We hope to be flying out to see the area in a few weeks! Thanks in advance for any information and help...it's very much appreciated.

 

It's a real small city down in Southern Oregon....maybe 20,000 people. Been there once driving through, it's a decent little place. Typical small small-town feel to it. People are good-natured like in Portland but there's more sunshine there since it's right near the OR-CA border.

 

Oh and it's right near Mt. Shasta and Crater Lake....two very nice nature/tourist attractions.

 

Pretty much a boring place for me But then again Im used to living in the major cities like San Diego and Seattle.

 

I grew up in and currently live in Klamath Falls and have a few quick impressions. If you love the outdoors (hunting and fishing) you will be in heaven. If you enjoy the nightlife and activities of the larger cities, welcome to hell. I think there are maybe 3 RX8's in town, including mine. I guess a town is what you make of it.
