just curious if anyone else from alaska is creeping around the forum?i know the first 3 8s are sold and mine is the 3rd.there are still 5 or 6 available from there allotment.oh well guess us 3 guys will have the rare few up here.

Hey what's up! New in here. I've been getting a hold of Continetal Mazda but don't give me a time probably since I live here in Kodiak. The internet representative Eric said they are allocated 8 RX8s and 3 are pre-sold. Do you have any news about the other 5 RX8s??? Also how much they adding to the MSRP?

hey,nice to hear someone from ak.thats correct,first 3 are sold,1 red with cloth,next is loaded red with black leather,then mine loaded red with red/ black leather.they ones not sold are yellow with nav but nav wont work here,black with options,red just like mine,blue (auto),and not sure of the last one.if you pre ordered from them you will get msrp(atleast i did)off the showroom 1999.00 markup i think.

How you liking your 8 so far? Well I guess I'll be another person with a red RX8 in Alaska. I was going to order a sunlight silver but Jim gave me an offer for the red RX8 I couldn't refuse. It will be coming in he said bout the first week of September.

By the way, do you live in Kenai?

well ive been loving my 8,it has been the only one on the road in anchorage and the valley.i live in palmer and work in anchorage.there is a base model in kenai and a yellow at the dealer thats been sitting there for a month now.jhebert,just wondring where you got yours?i didnt think fairbanks had a mazda dealer.i do know for fact there is no silver rx8 that came from the anchorage dealer,they have got only 4 thus far,red base is in kenia,yellow gt still at dealer,red gt that got shipped back to california(milatary guy bought it and was transfred before the car arrived)and my red gt.was just a the dealer today and jim said there still waiting for there last 4 to be realesed from tacoma.

I'm still waiting for my red gt to arrive. they said it was going to arrive first week of september, so I called. but they said call again second week...haven't call yet, I'll wait for them to call me since I put a deposit anyways. If I don't it this month, I might as well get a cobra.
There is a Mazda in Fairbanks and I think they have 3 RX8s in their inventory (found it in their site).

by the way, have you improve on the gas milage issue and have you encountered any problem with you RX8 (like oil light, snooty, idle, ping sounds)
