just to let everyone know who wants to buy now. I was driving to work today, and Mazda Renton had 3 Rx 8's out front.

I stopped by on lunch, and the salesman said they have a total of 6 (5 manual), and these were not preorders, for sale to anyone and he said they have 10 more on the way for their next 2 month alotment.

Im going for a test drive tonight after work.

 

Cam - did you get a test drive? Would you share your impressions please?

How much were they asking for the cars? When I called them up over a month ago, they were asking for $1000 over MSRP. "And it'll probably go up once they actually show up on the lot."

I told him thanks but no thanks - I have lots of patience. (And not enough money. )

 

I didnt go test drive that night, i was too tired. But I am going to go the weekend.

I believe the mark up was now at $3000.

I will definetly post my test drive impressions though.

 

They're still there as of August 5th. I was driving by and saw red, yellow and black models sitting on the lot. After seeing pictures of it for months, finally seeing one for real was sweet.

While I was sitting a the light at Rainier and Grady, someone tooled out of the lot in a black one going for a test drive. I was hoping to get a good listen as it went by but by the time my son got the window down, it was gone. It is fast and quiet.
