Ocean Shores. Thousands of crazy individuals blowing up millions of dollars worth of fireworks for hours on end makes for a much better display than any 10 minute professional show. Remember New Year's at the Needle this year? Never have that issue with private shows.

^^ haha..I remember that. My gf and I were there.....we were like " what the heck happened?? that was it??!". Everbody there were disappointed. We were all waiting for hrs.

Man...never been to Ocean Shores on 4th of July....that sounds so much fun. Maybe I could drive there next year.....

Are you driving there with your friends, Kris?

Shaun...you live in Capital Hill? Man..I would love to have a condo or something there. I love that area... Capital Hill, Queenland or West Seattle (Alki). .......
So can I come over to your house and have some BBQ?? haha just kidding just kidding.

Man you guys have great plans... enjoy!

I'm riding down with my folks and brother. My cousin is getting married on Saturday, so we plan on trading driving duties on the trip back.

I'll be at my daughter's - she and her boyfriend are having a BBQ at their "new" house.

It's cool when you can find a place where you can see both shows from the same location... One time I went to the party at Mertle Edwards park on the waterfront and then left early before the fireworks there. It was awesome driving across the bridge toward the Eastside and seeing all the home fireworks going off all over the place - especially the hillside of Hilltop by Eastgate.

It was a parade/car show along the main road through Normandy Park and then it went down to the cove. Kinda cool, my uncle and I are thinking we will either run in the race next year or put our cars in the parade

A sparkler bomb is a bunch of sparklers wrapped together with duct tape, it makes a big firey flare. I made one with about 120 sparklers.

Cool.. there've been tons of car shows lately - or maybe I haven't noticed before.

Just after I asked about the sparkler bomb, I saw that story on the news about kids getting hurt with them, so I thought maybe you were joking. Glad it worked out. Must be pretty spectacular. I'm more of a sparkler person myself - not so dangerous.

Hope everyone had a good one last night.
