I brought my baby to U-Mazda last saturday to have her 15K miles checkup that cost usd 52, out of curiousity i asked how much the same would be for 30K miles service and was told blantly 800 bucks, wtf ? i have searched some thread regarding this topic and none would have justified this price. is umazda trying to rip people off ? i have heard many good comments and praises from owners in this region on them but now my heart is a little swayed.

has anyone here reached this "milestone" ? any recommendation as to where to get this done ?

You may want to take this list and price all the services separately to have a better idea of how that compares to the package price. There may be some services you simply choose not to have done that will save some $$.

 

tks for your response. so the service cost is indeed near that figure ? i am still a little confused here as different dealers may differ the cost by as much as 400 bucks. are those charging less do not adhere to mazda service manual of what need to be done for that full circle inspection ?

 

$750/800 is an awful lot for what amounts to just changing the spark plugs, air filters and fluids. Especially considering that an oil change is part of this package deal and you can get an oil change seperately for ~$30 (at Mazda); I have a few coupons still for $14.95 Oil Change Plus service.

What is a "battery service kit"? Clean the posts and top off the fluid level?

 

I received this coupon in the mail a few days ago.

 

I aparently have to have this done though it friggin' annoys me since I bought the car with 31k miles on it.. and it was aparently "Mazda Pre-Owned Certified". Hmm.. quick question which is related to this.. does anyone know if Mazda when they do their Pre-Owned Inspection looks over and does what the 30k inspection does? My Dealer quoted me about $400 for the service so I dont wanna drop that much money on something that potentially could of already been done.
