2007 rx8

from the mazda newsroom, seem to be only minor enhancements for 07:

Enhancements for the 2007 RX-8 include:

1. 6-disc CD changer is now standard on Touring and Grand Touring models
2. Sand leather-trimmed seats available on the Grand Touring model
3. New exterior colors – Crystal White Pearl and Stormy Blue Mica

why not get a sport with nav and then get aftermarket leather? then you get to pick exactly what you want

Yeah Pretty much what I'll have to do I think, I was also just thinking about getting the seat redone, and lowered... Maybe install some memory foam... Will do if I decide to keep it.

Still cracks me up that Mazda wouldn't budge on a loaded 2006 with No Sunroof... Can it be that hard to NOT cut hole in the damn roof?

You know I was thinking about this a little more and this really isn't a bad idea.

I could order up some custom seats from any number of vendors. Recarro, Sparco, on and on... Would likely solve my problems real easy...

Who needs leather? The cloth is much more "grippy" and the seats probably weigh about 25 lbs less each.

Chris...

I used to think the same way, but when I got Ruby, I splurged. I used to think "heated seats are stupid" until I turned them on in the winter. Now, I'm not certain I'd buy a street car without them.

well if you are looking to get a sport model with out a sunroof, you can buy mine. You just have to add the leather. Oh yea mine is the auto, I still think the auto is more fun to drive because I get the best of both worlds.

I actually want to drive an auto-magic 8 just to see what it's like. I would never consider owning one but I'm curious as to the driving experience. I have always owned manual transmission vehicles and most likely always will.

Though having a daily commuter car that gets insane gas milage that was an auto-magic would be good for those days when I'm sitting in the 405 parking lot.

Before I got mine (manual) my friend's uncle let me drive his (auto). It was still pretty fun but I don't like it as well as my manual.

well as for my automatic, I like the fact that you just put it in drive for the parking lot traffic, but when I want to have fun I put it in the manual mode and I can shift for the steering wheel, or by moving the stick, so its as close to a manual I think you can get with out it being a manual. really the only draw back the the slightly lower HP rating and the 8500 redline.
