Definitely looks like a superb and proper build for sure... Just wonder why it finally showed up now and not much info on the build either.

They have all of the same info on the Touge Factory website. Maybe it was very recently finished and there will be more later. Who knows.

Yes, it retains the electronic steering.

Almost same as stock. We weighed the motor and tranny for both and difference was less than 100lbs, LS being slightly heavier. Most of the weight also is in the tranny so its in the center of the car.

Overall dynamics of the car does change, since the LS sits farther forward over the front axles.

We haven't pushed the car on the track yet, still snowing here! But driving on the street, you barely notice the difference.

You will soon have a market for this conversion kit---i bet.
The wheels are WEDS Sports wheels with much wider tires but it needs better compound tires now. The car gets sideways in 3rd gear going straight!

It retains the stock electronic steering.

Sorry for the late reply! We were extremely busy last wk, and didn't check the forum over the weekend.

We will try to be better!

Thank you!

We should have done a build thread, as it was pretty challenging but fun project, but we ran into many issues and the project took a lot longer than expected.

We used the Hinson kit, which at the time wasn't ready. So we took the prototype and worked with it. We didn't get much support or service from them so we had to modify many things to make it work and had to "fix" several things that didn't work on it.

However the end result is what counts, the customer wanted the car to be just like stock. Stock gauges to work, electronic steering, shifter to be at the exact oem location, etc. True sleeper!

The car is now in the hands of the customer so we won't be able to update much but he's planning to compete in the One Lap of America event, so we're hoping for good results.

Awesome, this is how it should be done, without losing all the stock functions. Any plans for a kit? Could you PM me a turn key price range?

Thanks.

We used the hinson kit, so you'll have to ask them. We did fix some of the major issues now, so it should be more ready now than before.

Price varies depending on the LS(?), motor build, etc. Hard to even give a range as there are so many options.

Man, I don't trust Hinson. I understand about the varying greatly with the level of build, I would go with a conservative stock level LS build to start if I went that route.

Pure awesome. I love how it looks relatively standard, and you haven't bothered with disproportionate body kits etc.

^^^ , wtf does that mean ?

Great conversion, appears almost factory. Did you retain the OEM brakes, does not utilising the strut bar have any ill affects ?
