Engine Swap

Hey guys, my motor is hitting its point where it is going to go sooner or later. I do not want to put another rotary into it, but at the same time don't want a giant LS1 that will mess up the balance of my car. I was thinking about a GTR inline six. Any ideas?

I'm pretty sure an RB26 swap has only been done once. Ever.

I'm guessing you don't have the cash/time/skills to do this either. You ready to invest like twice the cost of the car into swapping that thing in there?

I already work in a shop part time and have the money saved up. I can decently fabricate, making the engine mounts will be hard though.

Only 10 posts in and you are building a typical clueless newbie reputation already.
https://www.rx8club.com/search.php?searchid=10164774

- Asking about a high flow cat without really understanding what it is that you are asking
- Asking about "handling" without really specifying what it is that you are trying to do
- Bump a 3 year old thread to comment on an AWD RX-8
- and ask the typical "i don't know what I'm doing" noob question about an LS swap.

Might want to wake up to reality and really start understanding what you have, and thinking about if this is really the right car for you.

You do realize the RB26 out of a GTR is a heavy *** iron block? It wieghs ~150lbs more than the aluminum block LS1 that you dont want for balance purposes.....

OH boy! I want a rotary car, but then not a rotary engine. Ill spend tons of money swapping in a different engine cause it will make SOOOO much more power than if i spent that 15k on the renisis or a REW or 20B swap. It will be SOOO easy cause i know my cousins girlfriends uncle works at autozone, which is almost just like a machine shop and he can help me!

ILL HAVE THE BEST RX8 EVUR!
