The 3 litre block was only available in Aussie made Commodores IIRC, Not much chance of obtaining 1 in the US. I can see the yanks thinking WTF is an rb30.
|
Wrong. Aus, nz and japan just to name a few
|
RB30DET is a hybrid motor. You take the low compression RB30E block and use the heads from a RB25 or RB26 and their turbos. The draw back is the internals are not a strong and will not rev as high.
|
we dont have that here but if i was to go that route id just build the 25 or go 26built but im just trying to put a different engine in this car since she loves it. at least it will start right up everytime you turn the key.

And no way I would use the turbos of a 25 or 26 lol. Why go to the effort of building a 30 and throw tiny turbos on it? |
geez Brahhhhh, 1 out of 4 wasnt so bad, ay.
Angel, which rack did you say you used? |
Sub'ed Great work so far, keep it up. I had a 1jz in my supra before I came to love my 8. The Jz series are great engines.

Now we take everything apart, clean everything, paint the bay, some powder coating on the motor; tuck some wires and we ready to put everything back in.
