2.3L Speed3 engine swap
Why don't you just buy a MS3 as a daily if gas is your problem? My RX-8 is my project car that gets all my money and time which makes my girlfriend extremely jealous, while my Speed3 is my day to day vehicle.
This engine is incredible and the car itself represents a lot about the people who choose to own them, saying you own a rotary is saying as much about your character as it does your personal taste in cars. My advice would be that if you choose to purchase an RX-8 don't do it for the wrong reasons or with expectations that are not realistic. If you say money is a problem then I must ask why you would pay for an engine swap then? That in and of itself is about two years worth of gas in an RX-8.
Buy the RX-8 and join our community for the right reasons, or don't do it at all.
