Would you buy an RX8 R3 without a compression test?

About that: my original 2004 engine has had a few compression tests over the years. Compensated for rpm and altitude, the results were... interesting:
2011: 7.9-8.1 all around, done at Mazda
2014: 5.9-6.5 done at a friend's with a RCT5
2016: 7.2-7.5 done with my DIY tester
2017: 7.3-7.6 done with same DIY tester

One if these days I need to find a dealer with a working rotary tester to confirm my DIY result.

So the moral of the story is: get it done at Mazda using the official device and procedure for best results. Anything else is a bit of a crapshoot.

So it's best to drive the car for some time to warm it up to burn off any extra oil before testing? That should make sure everything is accurate? Wow, it sounds like depending on what tester you use it's pretty variable? Or maybe the RCT5 was just out of calibration?

I don't get it? Which one is that? You don't like the chrome wheels or the subwoofer? I actually thought those wheels weren't too bad. I like the stock ones which to me seem pretty nice. I didn't care for the large subwoofer as it eats up trunk room. The other was just one that the seller had the engine rebuilt and he reinstalled it. How good of an install job he did I don't know.

That was kinda random. Uh you might have better luck posting your sale in the classified section?

1. You need to talk to a moderator if you wanna sell your car as a new member.

2. Did punctuations murder your family?

3. At least find out what's wrong with the car. Engine compression? Clogged cat? Heck, the $400 Civics I used to see on Craigslist at least tell you something like "need new CV joints".

4. AT RX-8s are not nearly as popular and have a lower demand, so don't be surprised if you have to wait a while.

Good luck with the sale.
