it had ran fine but the oil control ring was welded to the rotor all else is replaced new. there is a small chip in the rotation surface of the middle oil ring i just need it for a little while longer till i get all the parts for the rew swap in. think im safe or should i source a nother rear iron. it is .0028 deep. or anyone have a good rear 6 port renesis iron near va beach

If you have to ask, you should probably replace it. Most of the time when someone just "needs a bit more time until X", a bit more time turns into a while longer. Do it right or do it twice IMO.

I know that im not new to rebilding swaps ect ive been around since 99. Im jst new to this renesis motor ive been wispered two different things personnally id toss it but i dont like lapping and heard good and bad and horror stories of just lapping then lap and nitrade then just reusing. well off to the irons pile ive accumulated over the years i found a new iron last night. so gonna rebuild this one and transplant into a different rx8 that has bad seals and housings look like a squirl was trapped inside trying to get out. once i get paid off tht one its rew time sooner than i thought so im happy.
Thanks for advice but wasnt second guessing it just wanted some opinions until i could source a good one or a rew donor. i warrenty my rebuils with 2yr 24k mile warrenty so id never use it in my customers cars.
