What’s a SEP3 and Tein Coilovers

Hi. Looks like this may be the only Forum I can post on? Anyways, I have some Tein Flex Z coil overs on order but apparently they are for a SEP3 chassis. The part number is VSM58-C1SS3. There is no VSM56 ones in stock at the moment.
My question is what’s a SEP3 chassis? And will these coil overs fit a 2005 GT 6 speed manual trans VM1FE vin number? Any help is much appreciated.

Do you mean S3EP? because that denotes a JDM chassis. It would be RHD with Japanese text on the sun visors. Is yours JM1FE?

There is no real difference as far as coil overs are concerned. They should fit just fine.

Just thought I’d post that I canceled my order for the New tein flex z coil overs. The rear coil overs have been totally redesigned. They are now not much different than OEM, other than the ability to lower the car by compressing the spring. The ability to adjust height independently from spring tension no longer exists. The fronts look the same as the old ones. The new model# in now VSM58-C1SS3 And the old VSM56 ones are no longer available apparently.
Tein does not guarantee fittment for North American cars yet are now selling them as the new model. Guess I’ll start saving for Bilsteins.

I've fit coilovers on Japanese and American RX8's and there is no real difference and fitment should not be an issue. But if the product doesnt have the performance you are looking for best to go elsewhere I suppose.
