I've been having a problem with an automatic '04 Rx-8 I bought in December. It randomly jumps in 1st gear while I'm driving it. I shut it off for 20minutes, turn it back on, and it rides smoothly afterwards for the most part. Put a new CPU in & the problem still wasn't corrected. My family is telling me transmission is the problem, but I saw a previous post my someone who had a similar issue, and they said a neutral safety switch fixed the problem. Has anyone else had this problem or know what I should do? Took it to Mazda dealership and they couldn't detect the problem.
