ticking sound when idling and other issues

Ticking sound during idle
Did not do this when I looked at car and drove it home two hundred miles
Checked Oil Full
Noticed when turning on lights a slight hickup and slight hesitation
When I turn off lights hesitation goes away slightly, ticking sound is still there
I searched and found that i should clean or at least look at the battery terminals
The lights do not dim, does take about two cranks to start. Just a little hesitation before it turns over
If not battery, would I look at spark plugs?
Car runs nice. This just started day two
I also noticed oil temp does not seem to work correctly. it just goes immediately to the middle position and stays there. never changes
Last issue it bangs allot over uneven pavement
Any thoughts?

Definitely clean/tighten battery terminals. The lights and the engine have 1 thing in common: battery.

Spark plugs: remove and see if they need replacement. Decide from there. Ignition coils: replace if unknown age or over 30,000miles. May help with starting. Coils kill engines if ignored.

There is no oil temp gauge, only oil pressure, but as you noted it doesn't do much. This is normal. It's not connected to a pressure sensor, only a switch that knows if there is pressure or there isn't.

Bangs a lot: check for broken sway bar endlinks, that's the commom one. In general get it in the air and check for play in the wheels, joints, etc.
