Hopefully this video went through. Any ideas what this tapping is? Car idles smooth. No smoke. Had to jump the battery today. Wasn’t making this noise 2 weeks ago.

 

Does it go away after the car warms up? It sounds like the SSV is knocking, which is a little common and mostly harmless.
Compare :

Do you hear it in the cabin with the hood closed? What I"m getting at is it could have been making the sound all along, but since you're not usually running it with the hood open, you wouldn't hear it.
