Starting issue
What's up people. I have been reading around the forum for a bit looking for a solution to my issue. When I start my car and drive it for a bit and turn it off, I can't turn it back on without waiting about 15-30 mins. After reading some solutions from other members, I have now changed the spark plugs, wires, coils, starter(n3z1) and cat. Yet, the issue is still there. Please let me know what else to change in order to solve the problem. Thanks a lot.

First things first.
1) check the battery condition and make certain there is not a major voltage drop on start-up and that it load tests OK and all connections are clean.
2) If there is a voltage drop and the battery load test is good, have a look at the starter. It may be reaching end-of-life and drawing too much current for the battery to keep up.Again, make certain all connections are clean.
3) If those check out OK and the issue persists, book an appointment at the dealer for a proper rotary compression test. It might well be time for a rebuild, but only a compression test will tell you for certain.

Water Foul
[I assume your battery is good and the starter turns over, but the engine does not fire. I also assume cold starts are not problematic.]
Problems with hot starts amount to the classic symptom of low compression. Since you have ruled out the ignition system and changed the starter, it is time to take it to a dealer for a rotary compression test.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply guys. I have replaced the battery and the issue is still there. I have scheduled an appointment with Mazda. I would love to get a rebuild, but I hope it's not rebuild time lol. Does anyone know of a place in NYC? Also, would the fd swap be that difficult? I can't seem to find a detailed write up on the process. Thanks again

I am trying to squeeze all the miles I can out of my low compression engine so I plan my trips around having to wait for 30 minutes between starts. No a great solution, but I have already got another 7k miles that way and counting.

Sounds a lot like a weak compression motor, i would make a comp. test first, do you feel a power lost after driving it for a while, check your oil stick for over heating oil after driving .
