Stalled it and now rough idle and power loss

Hi I am a new member and new to the RX8, I have an issue with my 04 RX8 231 and was wondering if anyone could offer any guesses as to what the problem may be, I have used the search facility and picked up some possible issues but wondered if anyone could offer a guess based on my specific story, would very much appreciate it. I have had difficulty starting when warm but managed to start it by just blipping the throttle while it was trying to crank (I know I shouldn’t have), however once it was going I had the engine light come on though the car drove perfectly fine on the way home. Decided to clear the CEL by disconnecting the battery which worked and it drove fine again but it had trouble holding the idle and I stalled it (I know this was due to the Ecu losing its stored settings and it needs to relearn as I have had this before). The problem is that on restarting after the stall the engine light came on immediately and the car was running really rough, I tried to pull away but there was no power at all and I was struggling to get to 20mph. It didn’t feel like a Limp Mode issue as I think that would be more like a rev limiter type scenario with the car feeling ok up to the limit, my car was poorly, sounding rough and had no power at all.. just after stalling it. I am going to change the plugs and coils but is there anything that could have been damaged like an o2 sensor, MAF, cat or something stuck open or closed affecting air flow perhaps that could have been triggered by the stall which would cause engine light ,rough idle and massive power loss??? Thanks if anyone can help.

Knowing what the code is will help a lot. Without it it is very difficult

Warm start issues are usually compression...but a slow starter or weak electrical system won't help

Getting that code read is really important. Otherwise we are all guessing.

Most auto parts stores will read it for you for free.

If you do the battery pull reset, the best next step is to start it cold and let it warm up until the fans come on. Do not touch the gas pedal. This will allow a learning routine to run.

Maybe just Reset the ECU (see You-Tube) there's an process involving pumping the break several times.
I did this and the car felt great afterwards.
