SSV Trouble

Hey Guys, I did some searching around and can't find an answer on this (the threads and google). I am replacing the radiator and thermostat, figured might as well clean the SSV. Noticed the little black boot (believe it's called the contact switch) is torn. From youtube, it appears that guy needs to hold air, which I am sure why the car runs like trash. Does anyone sell just the boot or must the whole SSV be replaced?

Yes I checked RockAuto, Mazmart, Mazdatrix, RacingBeat and Atkins for this part, and have come up empty handed.

Thanks

You might be better off replacing that part if its damaged. Sucks to have to buy a new SSV but it's such a pain to get to and even if you did fix it, no telling how long it would last.

IIRC, that contact switch doesn't need to hold air. The boot is just there to keep the schmoo out of the switch so the electric pixies can do their circle dance.

The SSV uses a vacuum actuator but the switch isn't part of any vacuum system. The rotating arm just pushes on it when the SSV is open.
