Streetported my engine and now it wont ideal.

 

I think we need a bit less info, there is way too much detail here.

Do you have fuel and spark?
You had the engine out of the car for the streetport, have you gone through the basics of having every wire hooked up correctly?
Does it turn but not fire, or not turn at all?

 

since you're saying it won't idle, does it actually run? Does the idle bounce up and down then die? do you have a way to monitor engine parameters like fuel trims? IE bluetooth adaptor and torque, or Cobb Accessport, Mazda Edit.

 

Yes it runs it has a fresh rebuild.Runs great as Long as you are on the gas and the idle bounces up and down then dies just like you asked

 

Yes the car runs i rebuilt the motor i used racingbeats streetporting templete and sent my pcm to racingbeat for a rev 3 flash it idles Fine on cold start ups.But after about 1 min the idle starts to bounce and then it dies

 

Do you have a way of tracking engine parameters? You should check your neutral position switch.

Let me understand this ... you ported your engine and you're unable to figure out why it won't idle but you thought street porting was a good idea?

Maybe like uhhhhhh the porting is bad? Or maybe you screwed up your rebuild?
Dude you had the engine out of the car, it could be any number of things .. like did you plug the baro sensor back in?
Who knows?

And as already mentioned, even in the newbie forum you gotta give some more info than your first post.

 

He stated in another thread that he sent the ECU to Racing Beat (why I don't know) so he can't change the tune either.

OP, it could be many things if it runs but doesn't idle.

Idle performance is inversely proportional to the amount of porting applied.

 

The Baro sensor is on the left hand side of the car (if your are sitting in the drivers seat) right by the secondary air pump.
Measures the ambient Barometric Pressure (What you are experiencing as a human)

If it's not plugged in the car will not idle.
Well at least in my experience as I have forgotten to reconnect it before.

 

It's not the injectors if it runs fine off idle.

 

As far as I know only Racing Beat can change their tunes.

 

My engine is ported and I had to tune it to get it to idle well. But mine did idle, it was just lopey and very low so I bumped it up. That said, many things can cause idle issues but it is typically a vacuum leak. Smoke testers are a wonderful thing.

 

Ive seen several cases where injectors are wrong and it wont idle but will drive.including mine. One guy was dealing with it dying at idle for over a year. Thats why i ask about monitering the engine. Screwed up injector wiring will cause large fuel trims.

 

Hmm, I can't see how it would run fine with the injector wiring/staging messed up. But if it did then it did I guess. But yeah he needs to see some data.

 

Im sure it wasent 100%. I had a middle yellow and red swaped. It gave me -20% or so ltft almost instantly. Then ran good.

 

Who tuned yours.
