Does the strut and hinges for the trunk lid matter when swapping trunk lids. When I tried to replace mine( Spoiler less to Spoiler ) The lid would not shut or close completely. I tried to realign it and no luck. My next thought was the struts and hinges that go to the lid are different from the spoilers. Any help would be appreciated.

 

Don't think so... there is an updated part number for the struts but it's not specific to any configuration, just an improvement or supplier change. Does it close properly without the struts?
