Hi people i would like to know what you guys do when it comes to smoke check for all you that dont have the oem cat anymore. Since i dont have it also i always strugle when it comes to renew stickers. My cat got pretty broken from inside so i had to get an aftermarket one. Bkuz the oem costs you an eye!! So what you guys do ???

My OEM cat died, I replaced it with a BHR midpipe.
I bought a cheap direct fit Walker cat for less than $200.
It's not CARB compliant, but passes here in Missouri.
I install it a couple of weeks before my inspection, pass inspection, put the midpipe back on.
Kind of a PITA, but it's worth it, imo.

They dont sale them here in cali anymore. Sellers cant ship all aftermarket cat to ca.

I don't know of any cheap alternative that would work, and Idk if there are any ways around CARB.
Maybe try to find a member in your region and ask them.
