Should I buy? or pass?
Greetings everyone, prospect owner here, here's the situation.
2004 135,000 miles, automatic
The good: Body and interior are/ is flawless, had cold/hot start problem, seller showed all paperwork and recently had new coils, plugs and brakes installed, total of 1400 in repairs. Now running strong, no problems.
The bad: its a 2004, and an automatic. Also windshield has bad crack in it. I have not driven it myself only seen video/ pics, sellers word.
Compression test at shop when repaired shows 90psi and 98 psi. I thought it needed 3 scores? I cannot makes any sense of the compression test on the paperwork he showed me.
Pass or buy?, seller wants 4k, Im not moving past 3500 or not buying entirely.

Pass, too many miles on an underpowered auto, and hot start problems mean bad compression.

Just talked to owner again, He said it never was Hot/cold start. It wasn't running when he bought it. "
Needed a new fuel pump, battery, coil packs, relay, and spark plugs. He sent receipts for all.

Thanks for the replies guys and thanks for the input!
I know the compression test needs to be done by Mazda, only way to be sure.
That's why the results he showed me from the repair shop made no sense to me.
90/98 psi? How many rpms was it tested at? etc...
I'll have to pass (even though he says compression was tested and is running good), sure is a beauty though.
