Hi,

I have a question about short shifters for the RX8...specifically series 2...

1. Does it make more accurate shifts?
2. Does it feel more confident? Meaning it feels like it whats the shifter shouldve been in the first place...
3. Whats the best brand?

Im asking cause when i had a 2nd Gen RX7 1990 GXL and i had installed a Mazdatrix short shifter and all it did was made my shifter shorter throws which felt more like im playing a video game and once in a while it grinds gears...

 

IMHO, Mazda shifter feel across all their RWD cars is already stellar. I track my car up to 18 times per year, and I have no inclination to do anything with the shifter. It is already precise and positive feeling.

I drive a lot of student's cars, and most of those have shifters that feel like gruel in comparison.
