Series 1 vs Series 2
The front suspension for all except R3 is identical. The rear suspension of S2 has a different spring length than S1, but same-ish spring rate.
R3 has improved shocks, but not necessarily stiffer spring rate.
If you want to swap S2 or R3 suspension to an S1 you can do it IF you have the S2 springs AND shocks.
