I am a new rotary owner and my wife wants me to tune my Mazda Rx8 like i will for our new car i am about to get. She wants a turbo and all the fun things but wants to get the right engine for the job. I want to stick with the 13b but where do i look for a newer engine and one that is dressed preferred but i know how rare these parts can be for a decent price. I am looking at spending about 5 to 10 grand. Everywhere I looked the engines are like 60K. So main points of my question are where, who, what should i look for and other things i need to look for with regards with the overall build. If there is anything i need to clear up please let me know i have an open mind to new projects especially ones this challenging.

 

I don't know the details, but the general idea is that tuning this car won't give you much power if you stay NA, and Renesis engines hate turbos.

You probably want to talk to a local rotary shop about a build like that and see if they can do a REW swap for you.
