How deep was the water?

Did the ECU and the fuse box get drown too?

Deepest condolences.

what intake do you have? the plugs/wires could have just got wet and need to dry out or it could be more serious

First thing needed to be done is taking a plug out of each rotor: front-back to see if any water comes out.

That would mean water locked engine which is worst news you could get.

If it's an electrical battery to starter issue you'll be a lot luckier.

It sounds like your battery was shorted/drained. Clicking when trying to start is a sign that the battery doesn't have enough juice to turn the starter. Have you charged it up?

Check all the fuses to be sure nothing else is broken. Like your brake lights.

Too much possibilities, but a short circuit is draining your battery, i suggest u find a guy who knows electrical.

Before cranking ur car, please check ur oil, is it milky?

If it's milky, water went in ur engine and mixed with the oil when u crank the engine the last time.

Change the oil first, if it's not too long it's still okay to just change the oil

Good luck

milky dipstick is normal. if anything send oil sample to blackstone labs.

i would get it cranking first which is probably electrical. did the plugs smell like gas? big difference in gas and water

Here's an idea ... tow it to a garage with a Mechanic or a Mazda dealer.

Even the worst Volvo mechanic would have a better chance of diagnosing the problem then what's taking place here ...

I'm guessing you would experience electrical shortage before hydrolock. Unless the water was high enough to get in the intake, any problems are probably electrical...
