It was pointed out to me that there are eight (8) separate rotary engine symbol badges on the RX8 .
1) Front bumper grille
2) Engine hood
3) Driver's seat head rest
4) Passenger's seat head rest
5) Gear shifter MT (AT ?)
6) Rear bumper grille
7) Small symbol left headlight
8) Small symbol right headlight

I own a 2007 RX8 GT. My question is this true of all models/years? Was this done intentionally e.i. 8 symbols/RX8?

it is not for the series 2 , some are still there hood, gear shift, and yes it was done intentionally

I think 7 for the AT, except for the gear shifter.
