Hi everyone. I am not a new member, but I did happen to find my Mazda RX8 buying guide today. Made me feel like a new member, which is why I posted. Check it out.
Fun fact every car enthusiast should know: It's called a Monroney.
I'm also surprised by the low emissions number. It's in the middle of the bar chart, but the small print says the "average new vehicle (ca 2004)" would be off on the far right side of the scale (RX-8 = 0.49, average new vehicle = 1.02). What's more interesting/raises more questions for me personally is how that number is assessed. When rotaries start up, they are NASTY until they get up to temp. WAY nastier than your average vehicle. Eye watering for a decent radius around it while it's sitting there. If cold emissions are taken into account at all, it must be really clean when it's up to temp.
