So finally back to the wankels. This is the first 8 im going to be working on. I have worked on the 7 quite a bit but im just getting my feet wet on the 8. I did a 1 to 1 engine swap with no alterations and the car now makes a very hard knocking noise and when it gets to temp it looses idle. it totally dies. if im able to turn it on the engine i can rev it as it was normal but the knocking sound is horrible. and i took video but dont know how to upload it. After searching through the posts made some assumptions and replaced the coils, Fuel pump. cables, spark plugs.
