Rx8

I'm new here cause I can't figure out my issue.
My rx8 has 150k on it runs like a beauty .. except sometimes if I come to a complete stop"not always" the car turns off and won't turn back on (but than without doing anything to it it will turn on in a hour ).(engine lights following it are engine signal and battery) I got brand new battery alternator and spark plugs ,

A common sign of low compression or failing fuel pump. Read up on those issues.

I'm not sure what you mean by engine signal, but if it's the check engine light, you can get more info by reading the codes. Any AutoZone or similar can do this for free.

Hey

just when the car dies the engine light pops on and the battery light .. I think it's common..
so i took the car for a hour drive worked fine
than I turned the car off and than on. And Went to get some cigs and my car died 3xs pretty much .
than I took the car and drove home in the morning no issue.
might actually be a dead fuel pump.
But might also be the compression because the other day when it happened I was stepping on gas and I really was just going no where only 30-40 than died 5 mins later

fuel pump, and/or low compression, especially if engine and fuel pump are original with that high mileage.

Agreed with the above on low compression and or failing fuel pump. Its time to take the car in for a proper compression test. Or you can buy a rotary compression tester and do it any time you like. I bought one and its the best tool purchase I've made in the last 20 years!

When is the last time you're replaced your plugs, wires, and coils? If not int he last two years, its time.
