Hi to whoever is reading this,

so i was driving and put my gear on neutral while hitting a red light. i noticed the battery light went on as well as check engine. Thought this was weird but wanted to drive home before checking it out. Went to first gear and started hitting the gas and stuff but it would not go! thought my car stalled but it did not do that. now when i turn it on it takes longer to turn on, feels like it didnt really turn on, and it still will not go when put on first. i do not know what is going on and am hoping someone knows ( I am a new car owner that being said i do not know much about cars so lets keep it simple!)

 

also the dasboard lights and everything light up still, but does that mean the problem isnt my battery?

 

so can you drive it or not, is it just really sluggish and slow?

 

i cannot drive it.. had to push the car back to my pad. its weird.. i try starting it and it starts but doesnt feel right. like it doesnt have that power. and when i switch to first it wont go. but i can rev on nuetral as weird as that is

 

sounds like your clutch isnt engaging if your car isnt moving in gear. thats decently expsensive to fix

 

If it feels and sounds like half the engine is starting, you either need to do alot of reading in here, or take to soneone who kniws
Is there a CEL?

 

Nope i just solved this, it was not the clutch. Basically the problem was the car started but didnt have that "power" that made it a full start. Looked into the car and saw that the coils gave out. So if your ever driving on neutral, switch to first and the gas doesn't go then it is the coils! $30 per coil and cost about $60 to replace unless you diy. Thanks tho!!!

dont forget to deflood when this happens as well

 

I hope you went for OE coils or Denso Oe coils, or uprated coils.
