Rusted Alloy??
Hi,
I got my brake pads/discs replaced on my rear wheels about 3 weeks ago. I noticed a bit of bright rust was on the alloys but thought it was gradually wash away. However, after giving the car a proper wash - it genuinely seems like the alloy has rusted at parts close to the discs.
Do you have any idea why this would be the case?
They seemed to have went from fine to rusted and I'm wondering if it's the garage that has done something wrong.

If the rust spots are close to the rotors, try using a good, non-corrosive alloy wheel cleaner and a bit of elbow grease. Chances are it is just stained from rust-laden water running off the steel rotors onto the rim in which case, rubbing them down with an alloy cleaner should remove it.
