So someone ask me if they can rollback the odometer on an RX8 cause he thinks his car was rolled back... I said i didnt know you can roll.back digital odometer?

I don't think it's possible, but I believe the mileage is kept in the gauge cluster, so if you change to a lower mileage cluster...

 

It's possible in asia. i've seen it done many times by 2nd hand car dealers to get better sales.

In North America, if a dealership is caught doing that, you can sue them and damage their reputation beyond repair, so it's very rare.

 

It's definitely possible. Very popular where I live. Just gotta plug the gauge cluster to a computer and set it whatever mileage you like.
