Retrofitting Cruise Control (european marked)

Hello!

I have an European 2004 Mazda Rx-8 (High Power) without cruise control, which I will try to retrofit this on.

Having obtained a complete steeringwheel based of an import car from U.S.. Will this work without any modification?

If not, is there an opurtunity to just type inn the chassisnumber on VCM (mazda diagnosis)
from the importcar that allready have a cruisecontrol, and then update the software “to have” cruisecontrol?

I know many mounted cruise control before, but after mazda came with their first update to the ECU on the European market, cruise control doesn’t work anymore.

Cruise control is controlled by the ECU. I doubt installing the steering wheel will do it.
